'Criadas y señoras' es la gran vencedora de los premios del sindicato de actores

Poco a poco van desvelándose los ganadores de todos los premios que sirven de antesala para los próximos Oscar (cuyas nominaciones podéis ver aquí). En esta ocasión le ha tocado el turno al sindicato de actores de elegir las mejores actuaciones y reparto del año, es decir, cinco premios en total en la categoría de cine. Y tres de esos cinco premios han ido a parar a ‘Criadas y señoras’ (‘The help’), siendo el más llamativo el que ha ganado Viola Davis como mejor actriz principal, ya que no son pocos los que esperan que Meryl Streep consiga llevarse su tercer Oscar este año, aunque parece que lo va a tener más difícil de lo esperado. La cinta dirigida por Tate Taylor ha conseguido alzarse también con los premios a mejor actriz secundaria, que ha recaído en Octavia Spencer, y mejor reparto, reconociendo así la labor en su conjunto de Jessica Chastain, Viola Davis, Bryce Dallas Howard, Allison Janney, Chris Lowell, Ahna O’Reilly, Sissy Spacek, Octavia Spencer, Mary Steenburgen, Emma Stone, Cicely Tyson y Mike Vogel.

Los premios de actuación masculina han ido a manos de Christopher Plummer como mejor actor secundario por ‘Beginners (Principantes)’ y Jean Dujardin como mejor actor protagonista por ‘The Artist’. Plummer está arrasando y sería una enorme sorpresa que no acabase llevándose el Oscar para casa, mientras que la victoria de Dujardin refuerza un poco el favoritismo de ‘The Artist’, algo a lo que también ayudó el hecho de haber sido elegida recientemente la película mejor dirigida de 2011 por el gremio de directores. Sin embargo se da la curiosidad de que dos películas cuentan con más nominaciones a los Cesar franceses, país de origen de la cinta dirigida por Michel Hazanavicius. Y es que sería muy curioso que ‘The Artist’ ganase el Oscar, pero no triunfase en su Francia natal, ¿verdad?
PD: ‘Harry Potter y las reliquias de la muerte, parte 2’ se ha llevado un SAG de honor por la labor del equipo de especialistas, mientras que el premio de honor a toda una carrera fue a manos de Mary Tyler Moore.
